WATER STREET DESIGN ASSOCIATES is a landscape architecture firm with offices in Connecticut, New York and Kentucky, specializing in high-end residential estate and garden design throughout the Eastern U.S. We work as a team throughout all project phases.  Typical responsibilities will involve assistance with schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and project administration for multiple projects simultaneously.  Specific duties will include schematic design presentation graphics, including hand rendering and 3D rendering; field/site assessments; plant identification; project / presentation tasks, as required.  Work location will be in Stonington, CT and / or Amenia, NY offices.

Requirements

Skills Required:                

Critical to possess strong design/graphic talent and have ability to develop designs from concept through construction documents and construction administration.
Fluency in Autocad, Adobe Suite, MS Office, Sketch-Up and 3D Modeling.
Strong knowledge of plant materials/planting design.
Keen eye for details, take initiative, manage time well to meet multiple deadlines.
Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and be required to effectively communicate with staff, clients, design consultants, and contractors.
Deep understanding of construction practices.
Familiarity with governmental agencies, applicable codes and standards
 

Education Requirements:  BLA or MLA from an accredited landscape architecture

     program or Licensed Landscape Architect
