Our Fresno office has an opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney to join the firm’s expanding Employment Law Practice. The Employment Counsel will be expected to perform all the duties of a traditional law firm attorney, with an emphasis on counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research, drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings, attending court conferences, handling discovery-related activities and investigations, drafting of position statements and dispositive motions, and counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. The right candidate will have a passion for employment law, strong analytical and writing skills, and will add their enthusiasm to our affable, team-oriented environment.
We are open to an attorney who will join us as an Of Counsel (on track toward shareholder) or on an alternative track with a flexible or reduced work schedule.
Requirements
Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law in California and in good standing in California. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
7+ years of Employment Litigation Defense experience is preferred.
Superior written and oral communication skills.
Outstanding academic credentials – (top 20% of law school class; participation in extracurricular activities, such as Law Review and/or Moot Court)
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
