Description
PFM Capital Inc. is seeking to add a new member to its Investment Team as an Associate. The position will be based
in Regina, Saskatchewan, at PFM’s head office. This is a mid-level position, with material advancement opportunity
within the PFM investment team and the opportunity to contribute to various areas within PFM’s portfolio and the
responsibilities of the broader deal team.
As an Associate, you will be expected to play a leading role in the structuring, due diligence and analysis of new
investment opportunities, as well as aid in their origination and structuring under the supervision of senior members
of PFM’s Investment Team. More specifically, your role will include financial modeling, valuation and market analysis
as well as recommending, preparing and presenting investment decisions to PFM’s Investment Team and Investment
Committee. It will also include an outward-facing role within the Saskatchewan business community, representing
PFM’s interests at industry events and developing relationships with key local contacts in the pursuit of broad deal
origination. Additionally, your role will include involvement in monitoring companies within PFM’s portfolio, including
providing analysis, reporting, board monitoring, and other tasks in support of the portfolio management decision-making
process.
The successful candidate will work closely with all PFM team members and will report directly to a Director of Investments.
This is a mid-level position that may include off hours work and mild travel within Western Canada. PFM offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus potential, health benefits and a pension plan. The position offers opportunities to advance within the organization.

- Direct experience in corporate finance, M&A or private equity is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of direct industry experience and 5 years of general work experience.
- Existing network within the Saskatchewan business community is preferred.
- Undergraduate university degree required and completion or pursuit of a professional designation (Finance, accounting, human resources, legal) preferred.
- Strong emotional and social intelligence.
- Good decision-making abilities under tight timelines and with limited information.
- Willing and able to travel as needed.
- Willing and able to be flexible in working outside of regular office hours as needed.
