Description
OverviewCypress Lake Golf Club, founded in 1959, is the oldest private club in Fort Myers. The course is a Dick Wilson design restored in 2017 with regrassed tees and fairways (Celebration Bermuda), new runway tee boxes, re-built bunkers, and TifEagle Bermuda Greens. It is unusual among area golf courses in that it is set on a rectangular piece of land with no residential areas except on its external boundaries. While most members use carts, the layout makes it ideal for the golfer who enjoys walking. The club has an extensive practice facility with a new Instructional/Fitting building and the short game area being reimagined and renovated this Summer for the 150+ single digit handicappers to hone their skills.
MISSION STATEMENT
The members of Cypress Lake Golf Club are committed to the enjoyment and preservation of golf and the traditions of the game; to an exceptional an unpretentious golf experience; to leaving our club better then we find it; and to respecting our fellow member's experience and those devoted to delivering them.
