The property features an additional 9 holes "The Harvey 9", perfect for beginners and a casual round. The Harvey 9 includes a Footgolf course for those looking for a fun alternative to the game of golf. Both the Championship 18 and the Harvey 9 wind through several canals and bayous,
Experience Required
Qualifications:
- Preferred: PGA or LPGA Member or Associate in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role within golfoperations.
- Sales Ability: Proven track record in tournament sales and the ability to market andgrow instructional revenue through clinics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in golf management software, specifically Tee Sheetmanagement, POS systems, and tournament scoring software.
- Retail Expertise: Solid understanding of merchandising, including floor displaystandards, inventory control, and vendor relations.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team andprovide high-level customer service to members and guests.
- Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays,while maintaining the required 20-hour weekly minimum at the Pro Shop counter.Job Type: Full-time
Essential Responsibilities
Summary:The Head Golf Professional is instrumental in developing and/or implementing strategies,golf events, and golf programs designed to improve the Club's products and services aswell as its competitive position in the marketplace. This role is responsible for the fulllifecycle of golf operations, from proactively selling and executing tournaments tomanaging daily play via advanced Tee Sheet and POS management. A primary focus ofthis role is the growth of player development programs, specifically expanding golf clinicsand providing high-quality on-course instruction. Additionally, he/she is accountable forachieving budgeted financial goals and maximizing retail revenue through expertmerchandising and inventory management.Essential Job Functions:• Tournament Sales & Execution:• Proactively sell, book, and coordinate golf tournaments to meet and exceedrevenue targets.• Lead the execution of all tournament logistics, including staging, scoring, andcoordination with Food & Beverage to ensure a seamless guest experience.• Player Development & Instruction:• Design, promote, and lead the growth of diverse golf clinic programs tailored tovarious skill levels.• Provide professional golf lessons, including specialized on-course playing lessons,to improve player technique and course management.• Pro Shop & Systems Management:• Maintain a consistent presence at the Pro Shop counter, dedicated to a minimum of20 hours per week at the service desk.• Manage the POS (Point of Sale) system and Tee Sheet to ensure accurate bookings,data collection, and financial reporting.• Manage and adjust golf rates dynamically to maximize revenue and rounds played.• Golf Operations & Outside Services:• Oversee range operations and course attendance (starters/marshals) to ensurehigh standards of playability and pace of play.• Ensure all customer service interactions regarding golf offerings meet or exceedKemperSports standards.• Merchandising & Inventory:• Directly responsible for merchandising operations, including the creative display ofproducts and maintaining visual standards.• Manage all inventory functions, including recording merchandise orders andconducting monthly physical inventory audits.
