Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking an experienced pet groomer to join our growing team.

About You
As a groomer, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. We believe that grooming plays a critical role in a pet's health and the human-animal bond. Our groomers take pride in not only their outstanding skills and compassion but also their client communication and customer service!
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Previous experience as a professional groomer required
- Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of breed-specific cuts and coat care techniques
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Role Responsibilities
- Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning and sanitary trims
- Safely and humanely handle pets of varying sizes, breeds, temperaments and coat types
- Report any abnormal presentation of pets in the care of the hospital or grooming salon to the attending veterinarian and technical staff
- Maintain a clean and welcoming grooming area
- Be willing to guide, mentor and support fellow team members.

Our groomers earn a base hourly rate starting at $19/hour, based on experience, skill level, and location. In addition to hourly pay, groomers are eligible for commission, which is calculated as a percentage of the grooming services they provide.
Commission rates are negotiable and performance-based, meaning that base compensation may increase with factors such as service volume, quality of work, and client retention. This structure is designed to reward both consistency and excellence in service. We provide full details on our commission structure during the interview process.
