Overview

This is a seasonal hourly position with no hours from December - February (depending on the weather), hours will vary based on season and scheduled events. Your main duties are to use the computerized point-of-sale system, maintain golf shop and surrounding area, assist guests and the golf professional staff with various duties while maintaining customer service as the number one priority. Appearance should always be professional, and personality should be upbeat and friendly. FLSA Classification for this position is Non-Exempt.

Experience Required

• No formal educational credential
• On the job training provided
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
• Proficient with computerized point-of-sale system
• Must be able to multi-task and work flexible hours (including nights and weekends)

Essential Responsibilities

• Use a computerized point-of-sale system to assist guests with purchases and to collect golf fees
• Book tee times in the computerized point-of-sale system
• Assist in League and Golf Outing operations
• Aid in the merchandising process, which includes: receiving and displaying product, cleaning and organizing displays, promotion and sales of products
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Clean racks, counters, and shelves
• Greet customers and determine what they need and answer their questions
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions
• Assist Golf Professionals with daily operations
• Requires contact with others (face to face, telephone, e-mail)
