Overview

Austin Country Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Golf Operations Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in golf course operations, tournament management, merchandising, customer service, and daily club administration. It is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Golf Management, Sports Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.

Experience Required

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a related degree program
• Strong interest in golf and golf industry operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Basic knowledge of golf rules and etiquette preferred

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in daily golf shop operations
• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests
• Support tournament preparation and execution (registrations, scoring, setup)
• Manage tee sheet and POS systems
• Assist with merchandising, inventory control, and displays
• Help coordinate lessons, clinics, and junior golf programs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of golf facilities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned
