Overview

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for receiving payment for green fees, carts, shop sales. The Attendant is also responsible for phones, booking tee times and various other duties. Instructions to the employee are generally specific; however, there are times the employee must exercise independent judgment to handle situations which might arise in the golf shop. The employee will work under the direct supervision of the Head Golf Professional.

Experience Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some golf experience is preferred
• 3+ Days per week

Essential Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a pleasant and courteous manner.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously or in rapid succession.
• Operates a computerized POS system and issues a receipt for each transaction.
• Provides golf course information to customers (i.e., tee times, upcoming events prices, policies, etc.)
• Take tee time requests and make adjustments on existing tee times.
• Assists with the cleanliness of the pro shop area on a daily basis.
• Answers telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
• Safely operates a golf cart in the performance of duties.
• Accounts for collection of green and cart fees by completing daily reports.
• Assists in directing all play on the golf course.
• Assists Head Golf Professional with tasks and assignments as directed.
• Work is performed typically standing with some sitting; however, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting and moving objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds is required on an intermittent basis.
