Overview

The Paris Landing State Park Golf Course is looking for an experienced, energetic Course Manager / Head Golf Professional to lead the team in day-to-day operations, increase revenues, and lead Growth of the Game initiatives through PGA, TNPGA, TN Golf Association, and the TN Golf Foundation programs

Experience Required

A bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in a business-related field such as Sports Management or a Professional Golf Management Program.

Substitution of Experience for Education: A minimum of five years of full-time professional experience as a manager or supervisor in operations at a Golf Course.

Class "A" PGA Membership or comparable LPGA professional organization membership is preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversight of the entire golf operation, including golf programming, golf play, the golf shop, snack bar, and golf course maintenance.
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and supervise all golf course staff and maintain accurate payroll records
• Responsible for overall revenue generation, cost controls, player development, and increasing the overall profitability of the course
• Develop, maintain, update, and utilize customer database
• Lead and inspire employees to focus on the customer experience as a key priority
• Adhere to and enforce required fiscal and accounting policies related to accurate recordkeeping, payment of invoices, payment card processing, inventories, daily deposits, monthly reporting, etc.
• Ensure systems controls are in place to safeguard assets, revenues, and resources
• Maintain course and grounds conditions safely and cost-effectively for the enjoyment of generations to come
• Class "A" PGA Member or LPGA experience is preferred

Benefits

This position is based on a 37.5-hour work week and is a Non-Exempt Salaried position, meaning overtime earns "Comp Time" for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.
