Finance Manager - Contract
Sydney CBD (52 Martin Place) | Hybrid (2-3 days in office)
ASAP Start | Contract through to 31 December 2026
$850 + Super per day

A NSW Government department is seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager on a long-term contract through to 31 December 2026. This role sits within a well-established, high-performing finance team.

Based in Sydney CBD with hybrid flexibility (2-3 days in office), this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for financial reporting, statutory compliance, and oversight of core finance operations within a structured public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial integrity
• Deliver detailed variance and expense analysis to support internal reporting requirements
• Manage preparation and review of BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax obligations
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Liaise with external auditors and key stakeholders
• Partner with internal business units to provide financial insight and advice
• Ensure compliance with government financial management frameworks and controls
