Job DescriptionAs an Experience Design Senior Associate in Digital Channels, you will play a pivotal role in shaping customer experiences through consistent application of design across our ecosystem. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will leverage your expertise in UX and systems design, and provide guidance and direction in the patterns and interaction model of our products and services. As a core contributor, you will create engaging, user-friendly interfaces that elegantly communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience. You will champion inclusive design and customer experience and contribute to the success of JPMorgan Chase's user experience design efforts.
Job Responsibilities
- Create screen mock-ups, user flows and prototypes (as needed) to communicate and learn about your designs.
- Create design documentation (wireframes, ADA and development specifications, prototypes) for the development of customer facing products.
- Conduct data-driven analyses to inform design decisions and use data to transform raw information into valuable insights to inform decision-making.
- Help define a design system and language and advocate its application across different products and platforms.
- Be an active member of a larger design team, participate in design critiques and peer reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, executive and brand/marketing stakeholders to realize your designs.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, Human Computer Interface, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and optimizing user experiences across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels.
- Proven ability to create visually appealing and functional designs using industry-standard tools (e.g. Figma).
- Previous experience with collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers.
- Self-directed in both planning and structuring work, and executing at expected levels of quality.
- Advanced skills in Interaction Design as well as either Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture; Intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-design audiences using evidence and clear storytelling.
- Ability to show how your understanding of technical constraints and opportunities informed your design solutions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Understanding of systems design and/or prior experience leveraging design systems.
- Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices.
- Previous experience with shipping successful digital products, demonstrating user and human-centered design approaches.
- Demonstrated understanding of how design connects with broader business value.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities/deadlines without compromising quality.
