Description
BridgehouseLaw LLP is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Employment & Labor Law practice. This position is ideal for a first- or second-year attorney who is passionate about workplace law and interested in developing long-term expertise in this field.
The Associate will work closely with senior attorneys and firm leadership on a variety of employment and labor matters, including advisory, compliance, and litigation support. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to both domestic and international clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with employment and labor law matters
- Draft and review employment-related agreements, policies, and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
- Support EEOC matters and administrative filings
- Assist with employment litigation and dispute resolution
- Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner
- Participate in client consultations and case strategy meetings
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and case documentation
- Collaborate with attorneys, operations, and support staff
Requirements
Required:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina Bar
- 1–2 years of legal experience (employment/labor)
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
Preferred:
- Familiarity with EEOC procedures and workplace compliance
- Interest in long-term professional growth in employment law
- Team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
