- Doty Cabin Museum Intern
Description
Internships are located at the Doty Cabin Museum, 701 Lincoln Avenue, Neenah, Wisconsin and take place from May through August 2026.
Prior to May 15, interns assist the Museum Curators with inventory, exhibit setups, spring cleanup, promotions, and research. After May 15, the Doty Cabin Museum is open to the public. The intern will be scheduled as a docent at Doty Cabin for three 4-hour shifts per week. The intern helps facilitate activities and educate attendees on pioneer life, early Neenah/Menasha history and local Indigenous history. In addition, the intern will conduct daily housekeeping and gardening tasks. Opportunities for museum projects, such as research, accession/deaccession and inventory tasks are also available.
Requirements
Internships are open to adult students (18 years or older) of all genders, backgrounds, and nationalities. Current student of an undergraduate or graduate program in history, library sciences, museum studies, education, anthropology, indigenous studies, biology or related field preferred. Students majoring in a variety of studies will benefit from working in a museum environment. engage with the public in a front-facing role.
Internships are 12 hours per week - 2 days as a docent and 1 project day.
