Description
The School District of Denmark is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as our Director of Business Services. The School District of Denmark serves approximately 1,600 students in a supportive K-12 environment characterized by strong family engagement and community support. The School District of Denmark has a 17% fund balance, an established fund 46 and no deferred facility maintenance. Our community has been very supportive of past referendums. In our most recent School Perceptions Survey, Denmark School District ranked in the top 99 percentile in positive parent feedback in regards to the District’s management of funds and building pride in the community.
Our role of Director of Business Services encompasses comprehensive financial stewardship, including leading the development and management of the annual budget, overseeing tax levy certifications, and guiding long-range financial planning efforts. It provides operational leadership by directing the daily functions of the business office, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, grant accounting and food service.
The position also carries responsibility for risk management and compliance, administering the District’s insurance portfolio, coordinating annual audits, and ensuring adherence to Wisconsin Uniform Financial Accounting Requirements (WUFAR). Procurement oversight is also essential, ensuring effective purchasing protocols and competitive bidding processes that promote fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications: Wisconsin DPI School Business Manager (5008) certification or ability to obtain is required.
