Description
Ravenna Strategies is a boutique digital consulting firm committed to helping non-profits, labor unions, and political campaigns achieve big wins. Our clients include members of Congress, progressive candidates, climate change advocates, immigrant rights groups, labor unions, and progressive PACs.
We are looking for a strategist who is familiar with digital fundraising tactics and has experience in or is excited to learn about digital ad placement, production, and social media. This is a fully remote position, with a preference for Washington State based applicants.
Duties will be split between fundraising and other digital services like advertising, copy writing, and social media. Tasks will include:
- Drafting and editing copy for emails, text messages, organic social media, and ads for fundraising, advocacy, and organizing.
- Loading, proofing, testing, and sending emails and texts via CRM while maintaining high quality.
- Lead client communications and drive the development of content calendars, budgets, and long-term strategy.
- Maintaining clients' CRMs and data. Update trackers and find opportunities for efficiency.
- Participating in calls with clients, taking notes, and brainstorming solutions with colleagues as needed.
- Use organizational tools to track tasks, content calendars, and budgets.
- Move content through the approval process with clients and implement it on the appropriate channels.
- Check ad platforms for performance. Recommend creative and placement optimizations.
- Analyze advertising campaigns and write reports on ad performance.
- Other tasks as needed.
Requirements
New employees will get training in ad buying, basic graphic design, budgeting, and digital strategy. The ideal candidate has experience in online fundraising and is looking for an opportunity to expand their skills into social media and advertising. Qualified candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- 2+ years of experience with a campaign, non-profit, or digital firm.
- An ability to write email, SMS, and social media content quickly and concisely in multiple voices, tones, and formats.
- Familiarity with NGP is required. Knowledge of other CRM systems, particularly ActBlue, and Switchboard, preferred.
- Familiarity with paid and organic email acquisition tactics.
- An understanding of campaign communications strategy and strong political instincts with a view toward capitalizing on news hooks and big moments.
- Experience with advertising platforms such as Ads Manager, GoogleAds, or DSPs is a plus but not required.
- Has design experience (graphic design, video editing, web design, etc) or has worked with graphic designers/video editors in the past.
The salary range is $65,000-$75,000 a year, with a generous end-of-cycle bonus and a stipend for health insurance. Ravenna staff are not expected to bring in clients, but if they do, they will receive a portion of the profits from that account. This position is remote, with occasional travel opportunities.
