Description
Responsibilities
- Assist with writing descriptions for scholarship programs and related eligibility criteria.
- Enter key data points about scholarship programs, such as the amount, application deadline, various criteria, and so forth.
- Assist in verifying the accuracy of information in the system by reviewing scholarship provider websites and other sources.
- Organize data and generate feedback and insights.

- Take advantage of opportunities to learn new software and skills.
- Work with experienced technical and program professionals in the software development and higher education fields.

- Use your strengths and existing skills to shape the data team program for future team members.
Work Details
- Work Location: Remote
- This work is in a virtual-yet-collaborative environment
- Remote communication software is used to connect with team members and team leads
- Work Commitment: Available 20 hours/week during onboarding period and 30 hours/week post-onboarding
- Work Hours: Flexible, and consistent
- The work does require attendance at onboarding sessions, training, and occasional meetings
- Duration of Work: 12-month project (with option to extend)
- 2-month (or equivalent) onboarding period
- Compensation: $20-24/hr DOE
- Required Experience: Entry level
- Training provided, but advanced skills will be put to good use.
Requirements
- Any current college or university major, or college degree. Study in English, creative writing, business, and technology are a good fit.
- Familiarity with the scholarship landscape
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential to this work.
- Proficiency in online documentation tools such as Google Docs and Sheets.
- Experience with databases, custom software, and data entry systems.
- Ability to learn via group and self-guided training.
- Strong research and structured problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to participate in shared work and communicate across remote workspaces.
- Basic equipment for remote work, including computer, webcam, and reliable network connection.
Skills Required for Core Tasks: Familiarity with the scholarship landscape, writing & editing, data entry & validation, critical thinking, organization, ability to work independently, self-motivation, keen attention to detail, eager to learn, proactive communication, consistent, and reliable.
