A well-established and growing accountancy firm based in East London is looking to hire a Compliance Officer to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and professional practice where you will take ownership of the firm's AML, regulatory and audit compliance framework, playing a key role in maintaining high-quality standards across the business.

Job Requirements:

• ACCA or ACA qualified (or part-qualified) preferred.
• Previous experience in a compliance role within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong working knowledge of UK AML regulations, including CDD, EDD and risk assessments
• Experience acting as or supporting an MLRO
• Solid understanding of VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment compliance
• Proven experience in audit quality, file reviews and regulatory oversight
• Ability to maintain and update AML policies, procedures and risk registers
• Experience liaising with HMRC, professional bodies and external reviewers
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to provide training and guidance to colleagues
