The Department of Radiation Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) invites applications for faculty positions on the clinician track. We seek aspiring Radiation Oncologists to join our world-class team providing exceptional care in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The Clinical Opportunity
As a Clinician Track faculty member, you will lead patient care initiatives within our NCI-designated Siteman Cancer Center, consistently ranked among the most exceptional cancer centers in the nation.
- Focus: Primary emphasis on high-volume, high-acuity direct patient care and clinical excellence.
- Breadth: Opportunities to treat a diverse range of disease sites at our main campus (Barnes-Jewish Hospital) and our six multidisciplinary community satellites in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.
- Education and research: Ample opportunities exist for those with an interest in teaching and clinical trials.

- 20 external beam treatment machines, including Mevion proton systems, Gamma Knife, ViewRay, Ethos adaptive radiotherapy, and more.
- 9 simulators (CT and MR)
- Specialized Programs:
o SRS and SBRT
o MR-Guided Adaptive Radiation Therapy
o HDR brachytherapy with two sets of dedicated procedure and treatment rooms
o A world-renowned cardio-oncology IC-OS Center of Excellence
o A new Theranostics suite (under construction) for our collaborative SNNMI Radiopharmaceutical Center of Excellence
o Pediatric radiation oncology
o S. Lee Kling Proton Therapy Center
o A burgeoning LDRT program for Osteoarthritis
Qualifications
- MD, DO, MD/PhD, or DO/PhD degree.
- Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology.
- Eligible for medical licensure in both Missouri and Illinois.
- A commitment to innovation and a collaborative, inclusive culture.
- Interest in CNS, H&N, GI, Thoracic, and/or Theranostics
