A well-established organisation is looking to hire a Cash Allocation Specialist to join its finance shared services team. This role would suit an energetic, detail-oriented finance professional with strong communication skills and an interest in developing within credit control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely allocation of incoming payments across multiple bank accounts
• Chasing remittance advice where required and liaising with clients professionally
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve allocation queries
• Handling intercompany payment queries
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects as required
• Banking cheque payments in line with agreed schedules
• Escalating unresolved cash issues to avoid month-end backlogs
• Managing a small credit control ledger

About You:

• Previous experience in cash allocation or credit control is desirable but not essential
• Basic understanding of invoices and accounting procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Numerate, methodical and able to meet deadlines
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
