About the Role:
Want to contribute your technical skills to a growing organization? We are currently in need of Calibration Technician to assemble, test, and manufacture quality calibrated temperature sensors following established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Load and unload temperature sensors onto calibration cryostat probes, including "wet" and "dry" calibration systems under supervision.
B. Follow established manufacturing procedures and processes to calibrate temperature sensors with supervision.
C. Use liquid helium and liquid nitrogen in a safe manner for use in calibration, including storage and transportation of materials.
D. May load, calibrate, and unload high temperature bath systems.
E. Use data processing software to generate reports to engineers for review and approval.
F. Troubleshoot and investigate simple errors with both calibration probes and calibration systems.
G. Follow established manufacturing processes with assistance that may include supervision, technical guidance, detailed procedures, or software programs giving step-by-step instructions.
H. Assemble, test, and calibrate products requiring semi-routine but non-complex processes.
I. Prepare assemblies or sub-assemblies for release to either internal or external customers.
J. Complete documentation and quality records before, during, and after calibration runs.
K. Control and segregate non-conforming product or materials.
L. May require specific interaction with ERP system to ensure inventory and job accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- A two-year technical degree OR 2+ years calibration, assembly, soldering, and/or chemical handling experience.
- Functional knowledge of the tools and instrumentation that are required to perform the assigned task, such as mechanical hand tools, precision measuring equipment, soldering equipment, handheld multi-meters, and associated scientific equipment.
- Ability to lift 50lbs manually.
- Must past vision acuity tests with or without vision correction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General background knowledge of physics and/or electrical engineering.
