The Hawaii State Judiciary is currently accepting applications for three (3) Attorney vacancies. Two positions are located on Oahu and one on Kauai.

1st CIRCUIT COURT, ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIVISION:
Attorney (Program) II - Honolulu, Oahu, Recruitment Number 25-217TO, SR-26D ($6,535 per month) to SR-26L ($8,945 per month).*
The Rule 40 Staff Attorney is assigned to the Criminal Administrative Judge of the First Circuit Court who oversees criminal cases in the First Circuit. The Staff Attorney focuses on Rule 40 of the Hawaii Rules of Penal Procedures and conducts in-depth legal research, analyzing complex legal issues, and drafting comprehensive legal memoranda and proposed rulings to the Criminal Administrative Judge, the multiple criminal divisions of the First Circuit, the criminal assignments branch of the First Circuit, and related criminal division issues within the First Circuit Administration; and perform other duties as required.
5th CIRCUIT COURT, OFFICE OF THE CHIEF COURT ADMINISTRATOR:
Attorney (Program) I - Lihue, Kauai, Recruitment Number 25-236TO, SR-24D ($6,043 per month) to SR-24L ($8,273 per month).*
This Attorney position is responsible for providing legal advice, guidance, recommendations and technical support services to the Chief Court Administrator, Chief Judge, Judges and administrators of the Fifth Circuit Court. The position also may assist with handling the mortgage foreclosure and other specific case types under the Fifth Circuit's jurisdiction; and provide staff specialist services to the Chief Court Administrator which supports the initiatives of the Judiciary, the Fifth Circuit's court operations and programs; and performs other related duties as assigned.

HAWAI`I BAR LICENSE REQUIREMENT: For the Attorney positions listed above, a valid license to practice law in all courts of the State of Hawaii is required. Applicants who have a current and INACTIVE license may apply, however, verification of current and ACTIVE license is required upon selection.
