Duties
Conduct thorough examinations of animals, utilizing veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy to diagnose health issues accurately.
Perform surgical procedures, including animal catheterization and aseptic techniques to ensure safe and effective treatments.
Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments while demonstrating animal restraint and handling skills to minimize stress for pets.
Assist in emergency cases requiring veterinary critical care experience, providing immediate response and stabilization.
Educate pet owners on animal care, including pet grooming, pet care routines, and preventive health strategies.
Maintain detailed medical records, laboratory results, and treatment plans following veterinary standards.
Support laboratory testing procedures and interpret results to inform diagnosis and treatment options.
Qualifications
Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in animal husbandry, handling, and care across different species, including dogs and cats.
Demonstrated expertise in animal restraint techniques, laboratory procedures, and aseptic methods.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy to ensure precise diagnosis and treatment.
Experience with emergency veterinary procedures or critical care is highly desirable.
Ability to handle animals safely during examinations or procedures using proper animal handling techniques.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate pet owners about health concerns and treatment plans.

Education: Doctorate (Required)
Experience: Medical: At least 3 years as a working Associate Veterinarian (Required)
License/Certification: License to practice in Colorado (Required)
