Job Summary:
HKEX is seeking a motivated and analytical finance professional to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team as an Associate. This role will act as a Finance Business Partner to support the Markets division, providing financial insights and analysis to enable business decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support Markets divisional monthly forecast and annual budget process by gathering inputs, validating assumptions, and ensuring alignment with group guidelines.
• Perform month-end financials performance reviews and control by conducting in-depth variance analysis on key financials metrics and identification of key business drivers.
• Effectively communicate financial variances and their implications to Markets management and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations materials for senior management in accurate and timely manner to facilitate business discussions.
• Assist Markets division in the execution of key financial processes, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, result announcement, funding requests, expense approval etc.
• Support financial assessment and tracking of Markets-related projects, including revenue tracking and spend monitoring.
• Support the maintenance of financial hierarchy to ensure accurate reporting

Job Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, business partnering, or related finance functions. Experience in financial industry is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems (e.g., Hyperion) and PowerBI is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (e.g., CPA/ACCA) is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Cantonese/Putonghua is an advantage.
