Job DescriptionGeneral Summary:
The Associate Director, Customer Engagement Liaison, US Kidney is responsible for building and managing relationships with nephrology Key Thought Leaders (KTLs) in IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD). The person in this newly created role will work with KTLs in their assigned territory to collect insights, derive knowledge, and foster advocacy, with an overall goal of informing the development and evolution of the marketing strategy. They will implement cross functional KTL engagement plans across a range of activities such as regional insights meetings, advisory boards, strategic councils, and congresses. We are seeking a candidate with nephrology experience who has a strong track record in US commercial roles and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced launch environment. This position resides within the marketing function and reports to the Director, Customer Engagement Liaison Lead. The candidate must live in the territory and within proximity of an airport. Specific territory footprint may evolve over time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, build, and manage relationships with nephrology KTLs
- Implement KTL Engagement Plans in close collaboration with cross functional colleagues in the field and at headquarters.
- Lead the execution of regional insights meetings through identification and engagement of key advisors
- Support advisory boards and strategic council activities and meetings including nominating potential new members
- Plan and execute national and regional conferences with a focus on setting up meaningful KTL engagements for senior leaders
- Monitor trends and insights about current and future treatment patterns that may impact the commercial strategy and provide feedback for consideration
- Work with KTLs to gain and synthesize feedback in support of commercial projects
- Deliver key customer insights on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution in partnership with marketing and other headquarter based teams
- Collaborate with other field based roles (sales, medical, access, etc.) to optimize engagement and maximize insight generation
- Model and instill a culture of compliance focused on ethics and integrity in all we do
Knowledge and Skills:
- Customer focus with strong knowledge of KTL engagement practices
- Clinical, technical, and scientific aptitude in complex disease states
- Demonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelines
- Highly effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
- Self-driven with strong organizing and planning skills
- Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Typically requires 10+ years of experience in healthcare / biopharmaceuticals, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Nephrology experience
- Previous experience as a Thought Leader Liaison or Regional Marketing Lead
- Rare disease / specialty product launch experience
- Experience working in highly competitive markets
- Ability to travel approximately 60-80% in the assigned territory and throughout the US, some weekends included
- Valid driver's license and in good standing
Pay Range:
$152,800 - $229,200
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
