Overview

Hot Shot Golf Academy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Golf Professional to support our growing programs and expanding footprint. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching the game, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to play a key role in developing the next generation of golfers.

You'll be a key part of both instruction and day-to-day operations, helping deliver exceptional coaching experiences while supporting the overall growth of the academy.

Experience Required

• Strong golf background with playing and/or coaching experience
• Experience teaching or working with junior golfers preferred
• PGA Associate or PGA Member strongly preferred (or actively pursuing)
• Passion for player development and growing the game
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Energetic, positive, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable using technology, including simulators, scheduling systems, and POS platforms

Essential Responsibilities

Instruction & Coaching

• Lead and assist junior clinics, camps, and player development programs
• Provide private and small-group instruction to juniors and adults
• Deliver engaging, high-quality coaching that balances fundamentals with fun
• Support the development and evolution of instructional programming

Player Experience & Brand Representation

• Serve as a brand ambassador by creating a welcoming, energetic, and professional environment
• Deliver an exceptional experience for every player and family, consistently exceeding expectations
• Build strong relationships with players, families, and the local community

Simulator & Facility Operations

• Set up and manage simulator sessions for lessons and rentals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and high-performing training environment
• Take ownership of simulator spaces, equipment, and overall facility presentation
• Troubleshoot basic technology or simulator issues as needed

Operations & Administration

• Provide administrative support including scheduling, communication, and organization
• Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and retail presentation
• Utilize scheduling systems, POS platforms, and other business tools effectively

Club Fitting & Retail

• Conduct club fitting sessions and provide equipment recommendations
• Support retail operations and contribute to overall sales performance

Events & Programming

• Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of events, clinics, and special programs
• Support junior programming growth and overall academy participation

Growth & Development

• Contribute ideas for new programs, events, and player development initiatives
• Support marketing and promotional efforts as needed
• Stay current with teaching methods, golf technology, and industry trends through ongoing education
• Take on increasing responsibility and ownership opportunities as the academy continues to expand
