Located in Upstate New York, Turning Stone's golf amenities include three award-winning 18-hole courses, two nine-hole properties, a four-season Golf Dome featuring a Trackman-enabled driving range with a 17,000 sq. ft. short game facility, a new performance fitting center, indoor simulator and a 6,000 sq. ft. Golf Superstore. Courses include Atunyote by Tom Fazio, Kaluhyat by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Shenendoah designed by Rick Smith, brought back in 2016 by Turning Stone to redesign Shenendoah. Turning Stone was host site for the PGA Tour's Turning Stone Resort Championship from 2007 to 2010 with champions including Matt Kuchar and Dustin Johnson. Turning Stone was also host site for the Notah Begay III Foundation charity event, one that's featured Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Annika Sorenstam, Natalie Gulbis and many other PGA and LPGA Tour Players in the past.

The Assistant Golf Professional position will assist in the management of the daily golf operations, with a focus on golf groups, outings and tournaments during the summer season. The Assistant Golf Professional will assist in the management of the daily operations of the Sportsplex facility during the winter season, facilitating daily POS operations in addition to performing golf lessons and club fittings as needed.

Experience Required

• PGA Member or Associate
• Must have experience and/or the ability to be trained in golf operations.
• Experience with Golf Genius, tournament operations and golf handicapping is preferred.
• Excellent guest service, oral and written communication, and organizational skills with the ability to keep accurate records.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assists the Head Golf Professional in the management of daily golf operations.
• Develops and coordinates tournaments at assigned courses, works with clients to define tournament particulars and oversees the daily operation of each event.
• Liaisons with tournament sponsors, officials or other relevant organizations when hosting events.
• Works with golf groups and outings to assist with their needs during their visit.
• Works closely with other resort departments such as Sales, Marketing, Hotel and Food & Beverage to ensure the best possible golf experience for guests.
• Monitors play and enforces all rules / regulations governing the use of courses and practice facility.
• Facilitates the guest check-in process and reservation system.
• Provides excellent guest service, advice and assistance to all golf patrons.
• Supervises outside services / Golf Shop staff
• Assists with training of staff.
• Creates, prepares and analyzes various reports on golf outings and tournaments.
• Provides individual and group golf lessons.
• Provides guests with custom golf club-fitting services utilizing state-of-the-art club-fitting technology.
• Assists with the purchase, display, promotion and sales of golf store/pro shop merchandise.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures in the Golf Operations Policies and Procedures Manual.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
