By offering consistently excellent investment management, a comprehensive range of products and the highest quality of client services, it is our aim to be the world's most respected investment management company.As a Vice President in the Product Development team, you will be part of JPMorgan investment management business. You are responsible for the design, development and product life-cycle management of products in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, we are seeking an experienced product development professional to join and work with our team in Singapore.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex product development initiatives, including fund launches and significant fund events, across Australia, Southeast Asia, Singapore, and broader APAC coverage for Alternatives and ETFs.
- Prepare legal offering documentation and monitoring regulatory developments across the region, ensuring robust governance and compliance for all product types.
- Operate independently across markets (including representing the team in forums alongside US and EMEA counterparts and stakeholders), coordinate documentation and product specifications ensuring seamless execution of corporate actions and fund initiatives.
- Drive adoption of firm-wide best practices in product governance, and lead the preparation, review, and approval of product initiatives at local, regional, and global committees. Be responsible for drafting and reviewing committee papers, agendas, and facilitating ongoing follow-ups.
- Act as a senior subject matter expert for all products, including new launches, changes to existing products, and newly introduced features, with a focus on Alts and ETFs, to support local and regional distribution.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
- Keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments, assess impacts to the local and regional fund ranges, and develop strategies in response to changes, especially in Alts and ETFs.
- Lead identification of product gaps and opportunities, capitalize on market and regulatory trends, and review commercial viability of the product range.
- Champion the adoption of technology and digital solutions to enhance product development processes and client experience.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7 years of relevant product development, legal or middle office roles, specifically in the asset management industry with experience across multiple markets and legal structures (i.e. Cayman, UCITS, VCC, HKUT etc.).
- Bachelor Degree in finance/law/economics
- Sound or in-depth working knowledge of Luxembourg SICAV products and the regulatory environment within the Asia Pacific ex Japan region.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a concise and meaningful way.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills; comfortable with working across geography, time zones and functions to effectively lead or contribute in large workgroup settings.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands.
- Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Proven ability in drafting fund offering documents and navigating local regulations.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ideally with relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA.
- Language competency in Chinese will be an advantage, as you will interact with clients and stakeholders based in China / Hong Kong / Taiwan.
